Many of us have felt guilty on our way to the golf course. You
know that felling, that day when you had other plans and were asked to play
golf at the last minute on a beautiful day. The plans may have included some
housekeeping, which I for one never feel guilty about leaving for another time.
Maybe they include some yard work, which you justify by convincing yourself
that you will get to it later in the afternoon after your round. And, of course
walking the dog, yes that’s when the guilt sets in for me. As I get in my car,
power down the windows for some fresh air and turn on the air conditioning for
the cooler air. At this moment, it never fails that I look out the window and
see somebody enjoying the nice weather by walking or playing with their dog. As
I turn on the radio for some guilt free distraction, my mind starts to wonder
about Abby, our faithful companion. I
wish I could bring our dog to the golf course and let her run wild on the
beautiful fairways, through the heather and the woods and of course the water,
as she is a yellow lab. But, this is not reality, as she sits at home
waiting for her master to return for that walk and I’m getting ready to unload
my clubs and tee it up. I know I’m not the only one that feels this way, as I
see plenty of golfers with doggie head covers.
So how do I coup? As it turns out I use Abby to my advantage, just like always.
You
see I have personalized Abby golf balls. I use these golf balls on the
green only when I’m putting. The photo
of Abby provides a calming affect for me so their perfect as I stroke the ball
softly and smoothly, great for my nerves. I know this is not ideal as Abby sits
home, but by using the photo golf balls on every hole, reminds me get home
sooner for that eventual companion walk. Me and my dog Abby. Photo golf balls can be bought at The
Golf Tee Store.
