It’s hard not to comment on the Tiger Woods Press Conference that is scheduled for 11am EST today, even though I for one have had enough. The Golf Writers of America have decided to boycott the event which they call, “a major story of international scope” unless it is opened to all the media outlets with questions. Could you imagine that circus? My feeling is the Golf Writers are boycotting because they don’t have a seat at the interview table which sounds like some split milk to me. Therefore, instead of me trying to predict what is going to be said, I cast my vote for a statement of apology and some comment about space for him and his family as they try to heal. In other words, I would hate to see this thing strung out and played out in the media by Mr. Woods himself or the media types. My feeling is that there are enough reminders, story lines and products that will keep this crazy story in front of us golfers for the rest of the year. Those of you that don’t believe me, just try to watch your golfing companions figure out the mistress names on the Wood-dee scrambled golf tees.
